Works to optimize patient health before major surgery for improved surgical outcomes.
Fees
The intent of the SSC fees are to increase capacity, better coordinate care and improve patient access and care. While they are not the complete fix to the system, we hope they help to encourage better quality care.
Enhancing Access Initiative
Improves patient access to consult and care by enabling specialist groups to implement a pooled referral model of service delivery.
Quality & Innovation Projects
Enables individual and team projects by specialists across the province to address system and patient health challenges.
Spreading Quality Improvement
Aims to foster collaborative relationships at the provincial, regional/organizational and local levels resulting in the spread of the quality improvement work funded by SSC.
