Funding support for specialist involvement in PCN planning and implementation

Posted on Oct 4, 2019

In our continued commitment to support specialist involvement in local Divisions of Family Practice activities, we (the Specialist Services Committee) have expanded funding support to enable specialist involvement in local PMH/PCN planning and implementation.

Community and facility-based specialists can approach their local divisions and get involved early in the planning and implementation process for PMH/PCNs and contribute in areas such as problem identification and collaborative solution generation.

Funding from SSC will be provided to divisions and specialists can claim specialist sessional expenses for their participation in local division activities and tables, such as Collaborative Services Committees (CSC), PCN Steering Committees, working groups, and member engagement and educational events. The division may claim the cost of modest catering associated with the specialist’s participation in meetings, however specialist participation in social events will not be covered.
