Changes to the SSC Telephone Fees

Posted on Jul 1, 2012

Effective August 1, 2012 changes have been made to the two specialist telephone patient management fees (G10002 and G10003).  These two fees have been changed into time-based fees payable per 15 minutes, or portion of.  The purpose of this change is to take into account the duration of these calls, and particularly to better compensate for more time-intensive calls.  In addition G10002 has also been changed to include telephone calls initiated by an allied care provider.

For more information and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on these changes to the G10002 and G10003 telephone fees, please click here.
