The Joint Collaborative Committees (JCCs), a partnership between Doctors of BC and the BC government, are hosting spring Community-Based Experiential Learning sessions in collaboration with Len Pierre Consulting.

These sessions provide cultural safety and humility teachings through immersive learning and provide opportunities for ongoing relationship-building with Indigenous communities. Sessional time, dinner, and mileage exceeding 50 km one-way are provided.

We welcome registration from interprofessional team members (ITMs) who make up team-based care and offer a stipend to ITMs who are not salaried. Space is limited to 60 people.

Learn more and register.

The land from which the Joint Collaborative Committees—a partnership between Doctors of BC and the BC government—operate and support physicians is the traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, whose historical relationship with the land continues today.

For the Joint Collaborative Committees, acknowledging the land is an expression of cultural humility that involves recognizing our commitment to support the provision of culturally safe care to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people in BC.
